Thomas (Tom) Saretsky M.Ed., RPC-c
Tom is a Registered Professional Counsellor (candidate), with a Master’s Degree in Education from the University of Saskatchewan, and a graduate Diploma in Applied Psychology and Counselling. Tom’s extensive teaching background gives him a unique skill set in dealing with children and teenagers, who experience a multitude of mental health challenges. He welcomes children, teens, adults, families, and elderly to his practice at Shayna Das Counselling.
Additionally, Tom holds certifications in ASIST (Applied Suicide Interventions Skills Training), De-escalating Potentially Violent Situations and Critical Incident Group De-briefing from the Crisis and Trauma Resource Institute. He believes that everyone’s story is unique, and will endeavour to create a safe and non-judgmental space where individuals can be open to reveal their vulnerabilities and share their experiences. He looks forward to using the modalities of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Family Systems Trauma Model, solution-focused, and spiritual/mindfulness modalities with his clients.

Fees: $130/ 50-minute session
As a Registered Professional Counselling Candidate, Tom will work under the supervision of both
Shayna Das and Eileen Schmidt.
